Shanghai, 2021: Nico’s 4th solo show in China is a creative portraits series captured around the world. Nico attempts to reveal personality traits, hidden emotions and suppressed thoughts, by avoiding the conventional codes of portraiture.
Using light, projections, various capture and post-production techniques, facial features get recomposed or simply disappear to let details, silhouettes and movement unveil other realities of our own selves.
